VeriSign is excited to announce that the future is here! No longer will buyers and sellers in the secondary market need to go to multiple websites in order to find or sell domain names. Now through VeriSign's Secondary Market Program, names available in the secondary market can be viewed by all buyers and sellers using the same Registar process as the primary market. VeriSign's SMP will bring the secondary market into the mainstream of domain name registration.
As of today, the Greatdomains.com website is a valuable resource to help you take advantage of all that the VeriSign Secondary Market Program has to offer.
It provides details on:
* what you need to do whether you are a buyer or a seller
* which registrars are participating
* Key Dates for offering listings and when buying can begin
* the advantages of the Secondary Market Program
* the history of the secondary market
* link to information on the new premium service available exclusively for domain names valued above US$5000.
What this means to you:
Greatdomains.com will no longer facilitate the buying and selling of names or offer appraisal services. Email support will continue through January31. Pending escrow transactions and pending appraisal orders that were received prior to January 15, 2003 will be fulfilled. Great Domains free parking pages have been disabled -- please contact your registrar of record to change name servers.
We have appreciated your business over the last 4 years and look forward to continuing to improve the secondary market for domain names in the future.
Thank you.

Profoundly influenced by #Bauhaus, @Nameslave unrepentantly embraces #Minimalism in his #multimedia portfolio. His early works include an experimental adaptation of Chekhov’s Cherry Orchard inspired at least partly by Robert Fripp. His totally irrelevant M.Ed. dissertation examines Organizational Culture and Change Management.
I duplicated a thread here, too ... when I got the e-mail y'day.
Sorry about that!
Good Luck.
That GD email was nothing more than just SPIN, imo. Nothing concrete, nothing breakthrough, more of the same vomit.

Actually, it sounds interesting if GD can pull off their plan. Success will depend on the participating registrars. Enom appears to be on the list already:
