I wish i didn't watch that video...makes me upset!
well, looks like i'll never buy pc magazine now![]()
According to that video if you have a domain you're guilty of cybersquatting.
Let me roll my eyes for the next 20 minutes.
Also, if I want $5,000 for a domain, I am NOT going to sell it for $500. They claim they only cost $10 a year, which is the registration fee but what about acquisition costs.
Tell ya what, I'll offer $500 for the owners of insurance, com, loans.com, and realestate.com and we'll see how far we can get.

Typical mainstream media story, take someone else from mainstream media as an "expert" for their horribly uninformed tripe. I love how he sums up everyone who owns a domain as "these guys" and somehow knows what "these guys" think and how "these guys" operate. Excellent journalism.![]()

Obviously this guy knows nothing about capitalism. This is done in every industry, people buy low with the hopes someone else will want it and pay more, real estate, stocks, collectibles, cars, tickets, and so on.
The guy claims that "domain speculators" only park domains for "suckers" to click on the ads. I really hope people read this because then they'll see what this guy truly is. I'm willing to bet he tried to register a domain and found it was already registered and either didn't want to pay more than the $10 a year fee or it was being used. Don't forget, if a domain is taken, it is taken by a cybersquatter, including MSN, the company who HOSTED that news article. The article and his response are both full of dung and laced with slanderous accusations.
