Can you name a year where you have not been taxed more? Whether it has been your wages increased, SS tax increase, medicaid increase? Payroll tax increases? Insurance premiums increase? Make more money, move up the tax scale. Each and every item your purchase, you pay taxes.

If you live in a state like mine, you have seen your state sales tax over the past several years increase incrementally from 5% to 7%.

Federal Gas tax has gone from 4 cents to 18.4 cents. Combined State and Fed gas tax is now at an all time high in NC of 48.6cents per gallon of gasoline, 54.6 per gallon of diesel. (check your state here)

When George W. took office, he gave us all a rebate pulled of the surplus against all advice - shore up the social security...shore up the medicare/medicaid. Nope. Give rebates.

We got another one this year. It was like me walking next door to my neighbor and swapping checks for the same amount.

I can not recall when my taxes did not go up in some form or fashion. And the largest deficit and tax burden ever in the US is being passed on.

But not to worry...you will have help paying your share in the form of your children as they grow up.
