Bidding just crossed $1M, reserve still not met. Anyone believes this is for real?

Don't forget to set a high reserve though...

Sure...

My scenario: Seller sets up an abnormally high reserve so he and his friends can afford to shill bid high, without actually having to show any money. News eventually hits the media and/or potential buyers, however, since the reserve is so high, sale doesn't go through. After that, another auction is set up, however this time with potential buyers under the influence of the last quasi auction, assuming it's actually worth high $xxx, xxx. "Nice" tactics to bring in some attention and possibly ensure a higher sale than it would be otherwise possible...
I stopped believing $800K ago

I wonder though, up to what point were these bids actually real...

Pizza.info Sedo auction closed a couple hours ago.
9 bidders.
13K euros. (approx $ 20,500)

I don't know if the buyer will pay.
But, the present owner has only owned it for 2 weeks.
He bought (?) it from Match Domain (de) who owned it for a couple years.

#1. No, I don't know.

#2. If it isn't public knowledge then it is none of our business.

Hopefully, he paid less than $ 18K since there is the 10% comm. to Sedo.

$20K for pizza.info isn't too much, if it's an end user.
If it's a reseller, then it's not so sure...

Who's Match Domain?

My intuition says it is the domain sales div. of the registrar COMMUNIGAL.

What the pizza.info guy did was a lot like .mobi buyers did after the $200K flowers.mobi sale. The .mobi buyers that sold early on did very well. The pizza.info guy didn't waste any time.
