Real shame. They had such a rosy future back then.
But...I'm not shedding tears on their eventual demise.
Vidi, Vici, Veni!
Domain forwarding seems to have stopped working.

so is there a special process you can do a bulk transfer without incurring charges at the receiving registrar.
i know it's not the norm, but the way it was worded led me to believe, this is a unique process in unique circumstances.
also, what happens after 31st March if you haven't transferred them out?
cheers
It's long over due that the fly gets swatted.
Good riddance Mr. Kevin Madina. And don't forget, a fly is simply an adult maggot!
I've got more where these came from!
No. There is no such thing! Further more, from the PDF file:
"ICANN may approve a bulk transfer of all current RegisterFly domain names to an ICANN-Accredited Registrar if ICANN deems doing so will promote the community interests."
Why may and not will?
And why if?

Quote of the week would have to be by Frank Schilling:
"Then think about the news stories that have come out in the wake of the Registerfly mess. All these registrars who are predisposed to do both good and evil have been watching and learning that there are very few ramifications to making things slightly more difficult for their registrant population. There are no toothy consequences to shaking you till you accidentally drop a name."
Better late than never. It was about time.

"No toothy consequences" is right on.
I had a theory some time ago that if possible you should use a registrar that falls into your same legal juridstiction (ie, same state, same province, etc). That can at least leave you an option for getting damages caused by registrar negligence.
But in this case I'm sure registerfly will be going bankrupt after another round of hookers and blow by their superstar CEO.
In theory, the corporation and/or database are still assets (although the name registerfly probably has no value). They could try to sell either one to another registrar before the deadline. Therefore, if another company took over by buying the remaining registrations and customer base, ICANN wouldn't have to step in.
Another possibility would be to become a reseller again under another accredited registrar (if anyone would trust them now, which is doubtful).
What about all the domains that dropped due to lack of support by RF?
I've already payed for renewals but I found that my domains weren't renewed. What can I do? I've lost money and domains!
Wait for the class action lawsuit.
Arent they going to move all the domains to another registrar? like ICANN stated..
Domaining to the max.
regfly might hide under a new business name in the future
