It's a bit late - but I didn't know this had happened - and I used to work in the Internet (Anti)Piracy field!!
I only found out when I looked at WHOIS yesterday of Napster.com.
I don't know why they would want it... or how much they paid for it?

Yeah - if Napster's creditors are letting Roxio take the assets without the liabilities...they must not think they are worth much either...Roxio has received as part of the transaction all of Napster's intellectual property including but not limited to the name, trademarks, domain name, and their extensive technology portfolio. Roxio is not assuming any of Napster's pending liabilities or litigation.
So, Roxio = smart or not?

Yep - they've actually got a site up now, albeit an under construction page!
Surely they're not considering restarting it up? That would get them in big trouble!
