Yeah, this likely is a fake sale. There are a couple of good editorials in Newsweek this week that pretty much say the same about Sarah too. A misspelling and a '-' make for an awful name. I'll split things 50/50 if I can submit a 'hand selected' list of my domains to the guy who bought this name if the sale is real! None of my hyphens are even misspelled!

We'll know more Thursday. Agree with her or not, her depth of knowledge seems very light and that 'bridge to nowhere' story is a flat out lie. She was for it until it was impossible to be for it and then she kept the money. She may make Senator or Representative from Alaska (they may need one soon!) but unless and until she learns a whole lot more I believe that even Republicans will question running her again.

As to the name, I would have loved to have thought to register it. On the other hand, if I had a spare $10K (and I did my limited part helping make Verisign richer yet buying a $1.2K name last week - chicken feed to a few here!) I would invest it elsewhere. $10K is a lot of PPC and I am not quite sure who is going to want to buy the name in the 'after' after market or what one would do development wise.
