Looks like the REAL DEAL and GEM OF A SLEEPER was Meds.com at $470K. This is a timeless
word and a domain and with an aging population this name will have superb potential.

There have been several two word domain names that have sold for more than a million dollars:

    creditcheck.com $3,000,000 - 2007

    creditcards.com $2,750,000 - 2004

    marketingtoday.com $1,500,000 - 1999

    wallstreet.com $1,030,000 - 1999

And even several 3+4 word domains:

    asseenontv.com $5,000,000 - 2002

    worldwideweb.com $3,500,000 - 1996

forsalebyowner.com -- sold for $835,000 not certain what year though.

Keeping to this advice, the payoffs can be very nice in nearly any extension.

Personally I think 'skiresort.com' at $850k although good for a two word generic will recoup a developer his/her money back very quickly. Imagine what the primary market advertising is for such a name and the general financial demographics of the market.

The primary market advertising will include hotels, flights, car hire, insurance, sports equipment, and designer ski wear. The financial demographics of the market are generally middle to upper income for the most part.

By the way, well done Rob, Skinny.com at $80,000 was a nice sale, $15k above your reserve if I recall correstly. Again, Well Done.
