I was one of the bidders, having negotiated with Symbolics Inc for months.
As I know there are many DNFers and NPers were interested in this sale. I was just a bit afraid to pay over $40k due to the potential TM issues. It's a great domain, part of the internet history!

Symbolics.com was the first offical registration.
