very doubtful a legit sale.
I can not imagine anyone making a legitimate offer on a blatant TM squat.

hard to believe
I just dealt with toyota on a domain that I was using for leads to go direct to them, and believe me they are going after everyone that relates to anything about their brands. They appreciated my honesty and it was an old domain and I had no problem handing it over as I purchased it with a group of other names.
Good Luck, they have people searching everyday
This sale is kinda believable.
Up and coming technology...some guy banking on it being the next big thing... so fires in a $20k for it...not knowing that he's bidding on a lawsuit waiting to happen!
Just the fact that something ended with a bid of $20,000 does not mean it is a sale. Sale will be when it will be reported in sold names list.
Right now it looks much more like a bogus bid to bring attention to it.
For sale at fair prices: MensJewelry.com, Liana.com, Sleeve.com, InteriorDesignIdeas.com, TradingAccount.com
does a trademark name like that (squatting) invalidate the payment obligation of the winning bid? Why NOT?
People keep questioning the legitimacy of sales on large selling platforms like sedo? When a sale appears on the front page as complete, it's official. For whatever purpose, a domain is sold and only two entities - the buyer and the seller - should really give a toss about it.
we could compare whois before and after the transaction...
Why is sedo facilitating a blatant typo like that? Should not they be more responsible and even accountable for this disgrace?
An industry leader like that should be more concerned about ethics and legal violations than the little typo squatter and TM violator who shoulders all the blame.
How come platforms like sedo get away free from scorn and finger pointing?
If these industry pioneers do not follow legal parameters, what message does it send to those who will jump in to register thousands of TM names inspired by the successful transaction of this violation?
Those commission checks they will earn are illegal as well.
Shame on SEDO!
And what a surprise that we wonder why Domainers are looked down upon with negative stereotypes? The likes of SEDO are whores, only interested in earning their commissions.
I care to 'TOSS' about it as well. Our reputation suffers along with it.
Honda Hybrid "Insight" is also selling on sedo:
InsightCar.com
so why doesn't the tm holder attack before sale?
Amen, and just a side note that there has been past problems with SEDO allowing worthless IDN "mixed script" domains into their auctions that have no value except for phishing or scamming unknowedgable buyers. Haven't seen any lately, so hoping they have taken all the complaints to heart.
toyota only needs to sell 1 prius to recuperate their investment, if they bought it...
This is demonstrate the real nature of some domain sales platforms.
yeah sounds like total bs. the keyword doesnt even place on google, yahoo or bing. i know another jerkoff that posts fake press releases of a .travel thinking that he has an excuse to sell it for a higher price.
