Looks like the run on the 3-letter domain bank is continuing. Elequa took out all of the .biz and .info threes this week. Today Chris Zouzas registered 1,400 .US threes, leaving only combinations with Q X or Z in them.

It would be an interesting exercise to know what people think would be the best choice for an English-speaking market (like .US) if you could only choose an acronym that had a q x or z in it (let's assume the other two letters are popular ones). I think I would take x. It can be used for Exchange and Express which are very common words at least and it also stands out in graphics. I would prefer X to be in the last position in the string but let's say you are considering buying a group like Zou so you have to choose one where the letter could be anywhere in the string.

Yes "x" at the end is preferable I'd say. "x" looks uncomfortable at the start of a three letter combo. I would not bother with "q" or "z" if I was Zouzas. Having said all that I have 3 letter orgs with "x" at the beginning and "q" and "z" all over the place.

We wanted to do the same 8 month ago but decided not to proceed. Adam as i remember wanted to get involved as well.
.US are the first domains to take off.
.biz or .info won't match, IMO.
BTW, I'm ready to bet $500 the rest of 3letter.us will be registered within 7 days.
i don;t know what vip.us will ultimatley sell for but i think NRA is 10 times the combo for what ever thats worth,,,,,,

He was probably reffering to the three letter combos, and not about the .extension potential as a whole.
