| Re: Vegas.com tries to take LasVegas.com for $12m Business.com, based on insider info, really sold for around $500,000 "cash" plus a number of conditional sales terms to be met before the rest of the $7 million would ever be paid. Most sales over a million dollars involve some sort of reserve or inflated stock trade. The fact that $12 million was mentioned in the court papers is exciting as it might be a true "cash" deal or at least structured payment.
The Business.com sale is also getting a bit dated, going back to the old .com boom, November 1999. Casino.com, nicely related, is much more recent from October 2003, going for a cool $5.5 million (though it also "included other assets"). |
