When I heard it was sold for $3m I didnt believe it! $500k-$1m seems like more reasonable to me considering the risk

It should be. It also has a 16k alexa rank. Probably about 350-500k uniques a month.
Definitely a great domain, but I wouldnt pay over a million for it, unless it is earning significant income.
I am kind of surprised that the possible sale is already discussed on the forums.. I mean if the buyer backs out, it would definitely reduce the value of the domain. For example, I wouldnt be interested for $3m (considering I had that kind of money) after the unsuccessful sale, as I would strongly assume that the traffic was a lot less than the buyer assumed and offered $3m for.
I read at a different forum interesting evidence that it alledgedly gets a significant percentage of its traffic from an excellent (and strong trademark violation) Google typo which forwards to wiki.com Not sure if the buyer knows about it?
