Will country codes get more popular then .net's and .org's? This blog says so:
http://dotcadomains.blogspot.com/200...code-tlds.html
Thanks for answering my questions everybody
In most countries they already are
In UK .co.uk is seen as much, or more than, .com - .net hardly ever, .org only occasionally, probably less than .info...
.de is very popular in Germany for obvious reasons, although they like .net too...
.nl, .se, .be, .at, .fr, .jp, .com.au, etc - all very popular.
It's only in USA and Canada that they still have to do some catching up, and the process has started.

Nice Post
In my country (INDIA), people prefer .IN if they don't find their desirable domain name in .COM
.ORG is good for NGOs / Non Profit Organizations / Education / Charity / Organization Purpose.
.NET is the strongest extension available on internet after .COM.

And don't forget that, these three domain extensions (.COM .NET & .ORG,) are globally recognized There is no comparison of these TLDs with any other domain extension.

There is a link somewhere on this forum that shows the registration numbers. I think:
.co.uk, .de both beat out .org and .net
.ca and I think .cn beat out .info

incka I have to disagree with you about Canada. I see .ca being used everyday. I wouldn't say it's used more then 50%, but I'd say more then a third of Canadian companies use .ca. It's a lot more popular then .net or .org.
country codes are already more popular than net/org
i see org growing in value over net, especially for organizations
net is worthless
I wouldn't go that far domain newbie...they are definitely not worthless.
.ca are definitely growing incredibly...i see a change month to month.
The future looks good for most ccTLD extensions....
Saw a post on DomainNews that said cn is now the worlds largest ccTLD. Just bypassed .de. Both have a bit over 12 million registrations. co.uk comes in at third with over 6 million. Of all TLDs only com has more registrations than cn and de. .net is in fourth place followed by org and uk.
What country is the "cn." for?
Thanks for answering my questions everybody
china

You know, google is your best friend =)
.net is not worthless...I've noticed a lot of advertisers using the .net version for campaigns or even movies if the .com is already taken. If anything, it's a good alternative if it's used for a temporary reason.
.nets are worthless.
Please PM me all .nets, I will help take these worthless domains off your hands for $1 a domain.

The idea that .net is worthless is just about as valuable as the opinions of those that suggest it.

Hey, I'll happily pay anyone $10 for a one word .net!
from DNJournal recent sales:
Tiles.net $8,500
PicUpload.net €4,100 = $6,333
PlayGame.net $5,000
SecurityCameras.net $4,950
Diplomas.net $4,601
CarRepair.net $4,500
Carina.net $4,350
AmatorFutbol.net $4,350
Bookmaker.net $4,000
ComputerParts.net $3,750
Ponds.net $3,748
Barnyard.org $3,688
Netline.net $3,000
I personally prefer .ca's over .nets and .orgs nowadays
.net (like .org) is a generic extension and if the domain is keyword-rich, and more importantly, has traffic then I'm sure there will be support for them.
Take the recent sale of italian.net for instance - a great example of a domain with type-in traffic, and depending on how it's developed it will also SE rank well because of the keyword.
The extent of the traffic and/or SE rank will drive the liquidity in that market (at any given time). No extension is ever completely worthless, the depth of the market supporting it is the differentiator (there may be only a handful of individuals who might pay (say) $4000 for www.call.me but a few hundred domainers would would fork out the same money for www.bookmaker.net).
Strongly agree. To address the German language market, companies need .de and .at domains. For German content even .com is second choice.
