Is it lawful for Yahoo to do this? Is it anti-competitive? Is Yahoo's pricing a form of "DUMPING?"
are there somewhere hidden costs? But it is a good way to do promotion!
Yahoo will not let you transfer Domains
I registered a few there when I was starting out and I later tried to transfer but they will not let you?
If they're keeping your domains hostage then just contact ICANN.Originally Posted by keithsvfm

One thing is for sure, the pricing can't stay at this level. It has to go up.
I don't like offers such as for free, below cost, etc.. They seem to always have a catch. Either you get crappy quality goods/ services, the company bundles it with another unnecessary/ overpriced item, they eventually jack up the price, etc..
Maybe the fine print says Yahoo can hold your name hostage.
I'd rather pay a fair price and know what I am getting.
They do keep your name hostage. I unfortunately registered 2 domains there about 3 years ago. I still own them, but for what? I can't transfer them to anyone, I can't forward the domains, no DNS changes, I have no Admin control whatsoever. They like to reel you in so you are forced to use their Hosting.. :veryangryMaybe the fine print says Yahoo can hold your name hostage.
thats really not the right way. you should contact icann.
