Yahoo says drop domains during inflation

Just thought it was funny they even mention domains along with HBO and other things to get rid of when money is tight.

That's actually quite funny how they just threw it in there. We just cut our landline and switched from DSL to cablemodem. That saves us $40 a month.

Those "hot domain names" will save you $7/year....wow.

They can send me some of their domains if they really want. I promise not to put up a fight about it.

Is it just me, or does anyone else agree that Yahoo isn't really in any huge position to be giving out advice in the area of saving cash, especially after the recent binge of acquisitions and rollercoaster stock prices. Doh!

Shush. The person who wrote the article is probably a domainer on this board, hoping you'll heed her advice.

I won't be shopping for BVDs in a used clothing store any time soon.

The author's domain comment makes sense if you think about it. The vast majority of registered domains will never earn appreciable parking revenue, never be developed and never be sold. The registrants would be better off with the reg fee in their pocket. Millions of domains deserve to be dropped.

I'm switching out my names due for renewal from moniker. that will save me $0.50 a name.

Well, they are probably just referring to those that have little or no intrinsic value.

Oops! I guess that will make up about 90% of everything being speculated.

Unfortunately, those tips that require me to "do-it-myself" will actually cost me more in the long run due to missed work.
