Yet another domain forum, this one is hostile! LOL

My partner got an email inviting her to join a new "Domain Name forum" which according to the pitch, would help us promote our domain name-selling....

This is what perspired between us and the apparently "owner" of the forum when we tried to post our related offer in the appropriate (advertizing) section. We thought we were adding some useful info to a young forum, honestly!

NOTICE: My intent is NOT to promote this new forum. I want your opinion about the "welcoming mat" we received.

To make the long story ..longish, we were invited by this 1AIS or GOD, or something guy to join a new forum which would help promoting our domain business, supposedly.

My partner was the first user to post a "normal" (and very polite I thought) offer in the domain-services advertizing section. The funny thing is we thought we were helping this fellow out with his (very) scarcely attended board to get it going, well kind of.

Then he asked us a question (in the public forum) as to whether eNom has a $100 minimum deposit. We briefly replied that it does not if you write a check drawn in US dollars --but the deposit does apply for credit cards and Paypal, in so many words.

What we got next was a rainstorm of scorns and cusses like we had offended him personally. He claimed he owns 2 eNom accounts but in one the price is set at $30 and the other he cannot use to renew his (1,000 or so "junky" domains a year he gets pushed from eNom resellers in the course of his business) because he needs to make a $100 deposit (and apparently he is too cheap to make!) LOL

He just exploded, told us that we and eNom are a fraud and that we are not welcomed on this board. Shortly thereafter he closed the thread.
Nice way to welcome his one and only customer eh?

The nutjob posts to alt.domain-names.forsale too, all about how his names with numbers in place of letters are some of the most valuable names ever, and how other people's website designs suck (yeesh, his are some of the lamest ever), and putting up "press releases" about how he's going to make tons of money and all this nonsense. And, of course, any reply at all that does anything but worship the ground he walks on causes him to go into total attack mode.

He's to be avoided at all costs.
