Good. Two years ago my fiances 7 year old typed in cartoonnetwok.com and got a screenful of graphic surprise. I turned oput this guy had a dozen or more typos of the cartoon network brand owned by Turner Broadcasting. Yea, I tipped them off and they promptly went after and got the names. Getting typo traffic is one thing, re-directing a kids typos to porn sites is just sick and immoral and I hope this guy does some time. Thanks for the heads up hal.

So who lets a 7 year old sit in front of the internet and let them type in what they want? I don't get it.

That's making others responsible for your own actions.

Not saying redirecting to porn is nice or anything, but the internet isn't a safe place for kids anyway, so i don't understand how you can let your kid surf alone on the net.Any kid could have typed in a name like gflsgjpsfgsfgjlsgf.com as well and chances are that names redirects to porn.

I was standing 10 feet away when it happened. He mispelled a word, he's a child. This guy has no right to , and I mean no right, to redirect a mispelling of a trademark to a porn site. Especially a site visited mostly by children. He needs a bullet between his eyes just for the fact that it is obvious he was targeting children to get a couple nickels for clicks. Nobody should let a 7 year old surf the net unattended and we werent. It happened right in front of us. If we have to type in every word for a child they might as well shut the whole damned thing off. However, a little accountability for the greedy bastards with no morals is fine by me.

the aclu will defend him and he'll walk

the bottom line is, he doesn't deliver the porn

    he owns domain names

now I'll be the first to say he's an a*hole for doing it

but he's in a real gray area

    he owns misspelled domain names

he sends them to the highest bidder

    pure capitalism

now, the porn people if they have open images need to be harassed

the feds should of went after the people with open porn images if there were any

if it went to a page with no open porn images, and just info about it, well, that's another story

the troubling thing here is that the feds make the laws too open ended, so the supreme court always says it's too broad and unconstitutional

if they flat out said typos to a porn site are illegal, that would probably be struck down

    what's porn supreme court

    they can't define it

there's probably a filter that could have blocked the redirect, since the filters people can get check the page before it's viewed

that's the easiest solution, use filters for kids

the net is a technology medium and there's no place for any countries laws in it

there is no one government that can legislate it

if you don't want kids seeing adult stuff use filters

    I hear they work well

I have a 5 year old that has used the net for 2 years, they know how to open a browser and it puts them right at nickjr.com

they have a bookmark to lego

I tell them DONT CLICK ON ANYTHING THAT POPS UP and get me when it does

    so far no problem

a little older then maybe a filter will be needed

now if that person lived in say the cayman's where he should have, the feds couldn't have done anything

    no extradition

but he lived inside the USA, what about all the people living in the caymans or sweden or some other haven?

maybe icaan should have a provision so when it happens one fee from a targeted company and they can put all the domains the defendant owns into one case

that way disney could have gotten every typo back for one small fee

now if you know anything about disney they have some sick people working there, we have a site with tons of images with adult pics on them that were all found INSIDE DISNEY VIDEOS

so disney has people putting hidden porn into their videos

you have some real dark people running the companies that created what you see all around you

that's a lot more OBSCENE to me than what that person did

    use filters

    that's the solution

and for disney, it couldn't happen to a nicer company

they need to clean up their own act and get the hidden porn images out of their videos

and it just didn't start with videos

groups have been pointing out since day one DISNEY has hidden sex messages

Mickey Mouse - mickey slang for penis
Woody Woodpecker - woody slang for erection

    etc etc

so the whole disney thing controlling kids and sexual impressions goes back to the 1920's

    anyway FILTERS

    just my 2 cents

remember this DOJ is run by ashcroft he spent thousands on clothes for statues in the DOJ lobby where a nipple was showing

    NOW THAT'S OBSCENE

    I disagree : )

    I hear they work well
Most that I have seen block out too much yet still allow some porn in..

I have a 5 year old that has used the net for 2 years, they know how to open a browser and it puts them right at nickjr.com

    What the heck?

So many things can be said/used in a sexuals way.

    So what,

They have a mouse names mickey and a bird names Woody..

    I dont see a problem..

And how do you "hide" porn in a movie?

    I am a lil confused..

The way they hide porn variations of cartoon characters is they blend in like 1 pic but your eyes don't see it normally as a film uses like 24 pics a sec or something like that so the frame speed in a normal movie is too fast for your eyes to recognize that one single picture out of 24 a second.

So those "porn" pics can only be seen if you use slow motion, frame by frame.

And i would not call those people "sick" working at Disney - they probably were just bored and as said you can't see the pics anyway when a cartoon is running at normal speed.

Maybe a distasteful joke, but nothing more.

No, you are fine, he's confused. The guy you are replying to is that SOLLOG person threatening to sue everybody in the universe who fails to appreciate his supposed psychic powers. You know, we talked about him on other posts.
