doing something wrong (xhtml)

I've been trying to open/test xhtml code that i've written and saved in Notepad but it only opens up in notepad when I put it in the browser. What am i doing wrong ?

What ext are you saving the file as on your ftp?

That is why. You need to rename them to .html or .htm and it will then work

If you are using Notepad, try upgrading to a better free editor. You will be happier in the long run. Code colorization and highlighting of errors is just one benefit.

Some good ones:

* Notepad++ (free)
* E Text Editor (free trial -- US$35 but looks worth it)
