    Help with phpBB

Hi, i have bought a domain name with the intention of setting up a forum. I have downloaded phpMyAdmin-2.8.0.3
I have already setup the domain to point to my host. I know i need to use mySql etc. But have no idea if i am being honest as to what I am doing.
Is there any trustworthy mod or admin person out there willing to give me a hand. I dont mind paying as long as its a reasonable cost. Can only pay via PayPal though. Guess i could always leave a permanent link on my site to yours as well. As i feel the site will take off eventually.
    Cheers in advance.

    Re: Help with phpBB

well you might try getting q and q from the phpbb.com bulletin boards, but that is not the same as someone fixing it. Be careful about giving away your ftp password though.

ask for ref's first. Yes, what is the project and what is the Hosting co? It will depend on that for cost and difficulty. Enom allows a dbase and the phpbb quick upload, and support. why not start there and use their support for setup, and email and other support, then hire a programmer to debug and tweak the final mods?

    Re: Help with phpBB

Yes sorry mate. After a little bit of messing about I managed with a bit of self teaching. Have even managed to put my own logos in etc etc (wooooooooooooooooo)
Quite proud of my little self if i do say so. And after paying to have my first 2 forums put in for me on other sites \i am a bit guter that i paid to do it when i eventually realised how easy it was to do. But i guess everything is easy once u know how eh!....

Thanks to everybody that replied but i am tied up at the moment with my pending move to Portugal so havent been online much.
