Are these copyright links at a footer or something?

Don't worry. Clear your cache, check if the script you are using is caching as well. Most likely the case.

    Hi,
Thanks for the answers. Yes, I think it's the cache but I don't realu know how to improve it in hostgator. Can you guide me just a little bit?

Hold down the SHIFT key first and while you are still holding the "SHIFT" key, press the "refresh" button. This is a "hard refresh" that forces the browser to grab the latest updates from the url instead of computer cache. (Has nothing to do with HostGator but your own PC). Try doing it a few times and if that doesn't work, let us know.

I think the SHIFT+Refresh is Firefox while CTRL+Refresh is IE?

Most of the time, yes. But it also depends on the CMS you are using. Typo3 for instance does cache sites, too.

Well, cache in your browser (not host) or you are uploading the wrong file. I don't mean to sound like a smart @**, but this is usually the cause when I upload and see no change...repeatedly, after working far far too long and my eyes crusting over. ...most of those times, it's the backup copy from a different directory (but same name) that I am uploading. Try the cache...then try opening the file in notepad, from your FTP program, and reading that the new link is there, before uploading the same file from the same FTP program. ...should cover all the bases.
