    Need some help with CSS

I am about to build a website and have been playing around with a layout, whilst learning css. As soon as i think i am progressing, another problem arises!

I have loaded the page onto another website of mine and stripped the content (just for privacy at this stage) :

    www.gercia.com/test

Please could someone answer the following questions:

    1. How do i get my menu to fit the full width of the page without setting the width of each tab individually?

    2. When i make the window smaller the layout and menu doesn't stay where it is and seems to want to fit the size of the window!

    3. The "adverts" in the left and right columns currently have no alignment set but the left column seems to be aligned to the left and the right column seems to be central.

    Any thoughts and answers welcome

1.you can make the menu a list, setting it as "inline" so that it's shown all on the same line... then setting a width to one list item (li) should make them all equal.

    2. set the width in percentage, not pixels.

    3. set their alignment explicitly, i would guess.

Hey Ben, you can download lots of CSS templates at www.oswd.org , and play around with them. It helped me develop my CSS skills although i still can't consider myself good at this time.

Take a look at my www.villadominio.com
The layout is similar, it is valid xhtml / css and you can just use the structure to adapt it to your needs.
