php.ini instructions - Free HOSTING, unlimited domains to the best instructor- Help!!

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to edit my php.ini file to edit these settings below? I'm a little deaf and dumb so detailed steps are cool.

I already know how to find the file on my redhat server I just dont know how to open and edit the file to change these settings below for a "vidiscript" you tube clone.

Who ever gives me the easiest to understand instructions will get a free unlimited domain Hosting account with 3GB of FREE disk space and 50 GB transfer.

I am running php5 and h-sphere hosting control panel

* safe_mode = off
* max_execution_time = 1000
* max_input_time = 1000
* open_basedir = (no value)
* upload_max_filesize = 200M
* post_max_size = 200M
* register_argc_argv = On

Hi

The steps are as follows :

1. connect to your server using ssh as root and take a backup of existing php.ini file

type cp /complete_location_of_the_file /php.ini /same_location/php.ini.bk

2. vi <location of your php.ini file > ( i guess it should be /hsphere/local/config/httpd/php.ini )

3. now you will have the php.ini file opened in a text editor

4. Press Esc and then type 'a' to make it in append/editable mode

5. Press Esc and type / safe_m and press Enter to find its location and then edit it .

6. Repeat the step no. 5 for rest of the strings to edit its value .

7. once all done Press Esc then type :wq to save and exit .
