Refresh, but only once..Can U Do it?

Hello all,

Problem :greensighw:
-----------------
I have been searching for a way to refesh a page, but only once, after it has loaded.

I have tried both a meta refresh and javascript refresh, but the snippits of code I have tried and written get caught in a loop. For example when it reloads the page it see the refresh again and triggers the action.

Reason
-----------------------
The reason is that sometimes contextual ads don't show when the page loads, so I was looking for a way to reload/refresh the page after 2 seconds.

Reloading/refreshing the page corrects the "blank ad spots" showing relvant ads.

Can you solve this?

Re: Refresh, but only once..Can U Do it?

of course.
when the page loads , try to read a cookie.
-if the cookie is not set, set it, and activate a timed refresh.
-if it is set, do nothing, this is the second load.
I could write the actual JS code, but it's almost 2 AM here

Thanks daniel,

I will look into how to do that. Never been much of a "cookie" guy. But guess it's time to learn ...
