1. Is your site up? If it is please provide link.
2. Which RSS feature are you using, the standard one, or an extension?

Hi,

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but it suits my issue and having more solution info in one place may help the next person. I'm having a problem getting rss feed content to display in my main central column on the frontpage. I have installed rd-rss, and using it, I can display feeds in the right and left columns, but I've been unable to figure out how to change its placement or create a new module that is positioned in the center. My goal is to have the central column display self updating feed content (text and images), and have my own info, links, ads, etc on the sides (almost the opposite of what I'm capable of doing now). This has slowed me down a great deal, and I have received absolutely no responses on the joomla forums despite multiple posts. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, I was the one basically who worked on this. If I understand correctly, you need to either:
1. Look at the placements of the modules, especially the front page, and limit it to front page only, or
2. change the module setup and do the same.

To find out where the modules are located go to Site > Preview > InLineWithPositions, in Joomla 1.15, probably something similar in 1.5.

As an example I'll use a template.

Now you need to set the module at:
Advert1, User5, User1, etc. which are in the center.
