SSI/Includes -Is there a way for static content to be auto-changed on multiple sites?

    SSI/Includes
Is there a way for static content to be auto-changed on multiple sites?

I use MS FrontPage Includes to create content that allows me to make changes to text on a main file and have it automatically updated on all the pages that have that "Includes" code on it WITHIN THE SAME SITE. And I use templates in Dreamweaver to accomplish KIND OF the same thing...

But I was wondering if there was any way to create STATIC CONTENT that will be indexed by all search engines - and then to be able to put some code on 15-20 other websites so the static content will auto-update on all the DIFFERENT websites every time you change the MAIN FILE???

    - I've never created an RSS feed myself, but I'm pretty sure the downside is that RSS content isn't indexed in search engines - isn't that right? So I wondered if there was some kind of STATIC alternative that worked like an RSS feed...

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Yes there is. You can include a file using a static URL that your page(s) will pull in. This file will be on one domain and can be text or html. Each site/page/domain that includes this file will have the file placed where ever you put it. I used to use this for advertising across multiple sites.

Do you want to do this with cgi/ssi or with php?
