    Tracking your AdSense clicks...

Well, I know there was a discussion on webmasterworld a while ago but I m not aware if people there came up with a solution? It may be against Google TOS but after all, I have the right to know what visitors are doing on our site. So, is there a way to track visitors clicks on AdSense ads without changing the original AdSense code?

once you agree to have adsense on your site, all rights within and including the code, in addition to the ads which are displayed on your site. belongs to google

what ads visitors click, that data is under the ownership of google.

    this would be my "assumption".

perhaps write them and request the info.

    good luck!

Just make a separate ad channel for each banner. It's the closest you can come to what you want without going against their TOS as far as I know of.

    Re: Tracking your AdSense clicks...

Ad channels would not give me the information I'm interested in:
    - exact ad that was clicked on and what was the corresponding target page/site
    - time when it was clicked
    - IP address of the visitor

    Thanks for all comments anyway.

It would be nice if with that information you want, you also got the price per click for each click.

    Exactly!

Looks like the best product I've found is http://www.asrep.com
Do you think I should email AdSense support and ask for their opinion first?

asrep is a fantastic piece of software. I have been using it since before it became commercial and I had no issues with buying the commercial edition.. Worth every penny

Thanks, namestrands. Is it accepted already by adsense support as not violating their TOS?

    Re: Tracking your AdSense clicks...

I looked through the TOS and I could not see how it could violate. It does not interfere with the adsense code whatsoever.

If you do decide to use it.. put the software on its own domain.. and then you can use it on every site you have..

    The results are very informative.
