I keep checking back on this thread over the months.

keep the ideas coming... I must have a dozen location domains and am yet to make the jump to a decent script.

We're launching more sites, there are 8 running off the same base now.

There is an overview including some screencasts on LiveInMyNeighbourhood.com

Content can be published per site, or network wide.

So far just the directory and the real estate listings are site specific, but all the content posts can be also just by tagging them with the site you want them to show up on.

Working on the look there DCG, trying to get the feature set nailed down before I worry too much about the design, skinning it is easier to do than building out the user generated content and functionality.

ShaunP - Ktown is looking good, real estate listing addition is a nice touch

So from what I've read.. eDirectory.com is a no? Simply because their support sucks, and they are insanely pricey to do simple modifications?

Has anyone bought eDirectory.com and modified the site completely themselves? Was it easy? Did it cost a lot to hire somebody to do this?

Your help is appreciated.. I too am looking for a solution as I was quoted about $30,000 to do a completely custom solution.
