Does anybody else have any further feedback on phpcityportal?

I like the depth of features, but it seems very limited in the design/theme and some of the functions, like the forum, seem too simple- is this true?

How easy is it to customise both the script and the design?

I looking for a new ideas here in the thread.

For those who interested in script I can suggest link that not mentioned here on two pages. It's name is CityDNK. I guess it is Russian developers but site has English version.

Not a bad script...but way too many ads...the key to having a great city domain and developing will be to have the users first and then monetize later.

man if some developer out there (who also understood the domaining world) would just develop an easily customizable software for geo/niche directory domains, better graphically than php, but less expensive than edirectory ... they would make an absolute killing.

Make sure you check out PHPCityPortal's other templates. Their last release was the first using templates and I knwo their next release should have even better ones...

I am also looking but seems everything is either Wordpress, Joomla or costly scripts which rely on the sellers server to a degree and require regular monthly or yearly fees.

Don't like the blogging programs for this since they involve ongoing maintanance and upgrading with regular spam to deal with. Don't' want to pay any ongoing fees.

Anyone know a simple html program which runs on my server stand-alone and has no ongoing costs?
