Alright for everyone who missed out on the special here is another one for PHPCityPortal.com. If you register and make only 3 posts on ScriptAdvise.com you get the software for $99... Not quite as sweet as the $75 sale but I doubt we will see that one again.

I have been periodically checking this thread for months now.

Does anybody else have any further feedback on phpcityportal?

I like the depth of features, but it seems very limited in the design/theme and some of the functions, like the forum, seem too simple- is this true?

How easy is it to customise both the script and the design?

I am from Ukraine and I was looking for city portal script long time and finally decided to order development. This isn't cheap though good domain need good script (and I have one really good and clear GEO). This is my opinion.

I looking for a new ideas here in the thread.

For those who interested in script I can suggest link that not mentioned here on two pages. It's name is CityDNK. I guess it is Russian developers but site has English version.

Not a bad script...but way too many ads...the key to having a great city domain and developing will be to have the users first and then monetize later.

I wanted to keep everyone up to date. I did purchase and develop the phpcityportal site. Check it out if you like kankakeecountyDOTcom I think you will be pretty impressed... I ordered marketing supplies yesterday and am currently in talks to a local car dealership about putting a car a day on their to inventory cycling. Also have a few realtors interested in sponsoring the real estate section. For the dollar this is hands down the best script i have seen...

man if some developer out there (who also understood the domaining world) would just develop an easily customizable software for geo/niche directory domains, better graphically than php, but less expensive than edirectory ... they would make an absolute killing.

Make sure you check out PHPCityPortal's other templates. Their last release was the first using templates and I knwo their next release should have even better ones...
