DNF$: 1,481 Location: Ruckersville, V | City/Town Community BIZ & INFO Site Scripts? I would like to set up a community website for the suburban town/county that I am in. Are there any decent scripts for this? I have run into on company that offers you everything (and a crappy looking site too!) for a monthly fee. There are also lots of sites that look as if they were made for multi-million population centers with very little depth to them (they are pretty though!). Thanks for the input!

Country: | Check-it-Oot! I recently built a community portal for my hometown: www.GooseBayLabrador.com ...using -Free- Bravenet.com services (w/ free hosting, templates, widgets, etc.). With a few of my own pages thrown into the mix (ex: 'A Portrait of' page is from wikipedia with my own corrections and additions (it's easy to add content here, knowing your own home town ). Then I added some Google Maps, a Latest News RSS Page; with a Jobs Page and Phonebook Page coming soon too (which I'm developin myself).Free Web Services + My Time & Content (text & photos) = Community Portal I figure for a target audience of ~10,000 - this fits the budget and demand at the same time. Best of Luck and Success with All Your Endeavours!
