    Re: CMS - Best Ones

So far 3 Mambo lovers. I tried once, but went to Xoops. Maybe I should look into more. I noticed on another thread that it can do multiple sites as well. I wonder if this is a standard feature or needs some mod-add on.

I have to say, this has the most interesting administration panel that I've seen. It sort of reminds me of CPanel, i.e., the same sort of style.

I have used e107 a little, because for me it looked easier to customize the script than mambo

Mambo is the best of them all, IMHO, but it's kind of painful to customize.

    Re: CMS - Best Ones

Do any of them have good wallpaper mods-add ons. I would like to expand my web-site www.carsmodified.com , and would like something that I could easily do the same as I have right now, uploading, downloading & rating wallpaper, etc.; and add articles and rss dynamic news.

I like xoops, VERY easy to set up, and is very easy to use with large database of mods.

Totally agree with Greggish -- that's what I use, for it's reliablity, robustness, portability and ease of use. Unless of course you're really clever and write your own!

    Re: CMS - Best Ones

I like phpNuke, i used to run a support site, im re-opening it, but im using a custom CMS, phpNuke has too many security holes, i would say a custom one is best, nobody can view the source meaning harder to find security holes as easy either .
