I didn't find any turnkey at dotcombuilder. Aside from the support, what do think of the script?

Re: Free Forum Hosting - Multi Forum Script

Script is pretty good, though there was a lot lot of bugs which had to be fixed.
The owner of the script is just one guy who made it, has colege and everything so he didn thad much time and he replied after 2 weeks fixing the script.

Better find some other script rather then this.

Re: Free Forum Hosting - Multi Forum Script

fab, sebs script is basically all there is out there, and its git ups and downs. Great part about it is that it uses one database, and one set of files, so you don't have to use up GB's of disk space for the same files, you can upload a few templates, and have them select which ones they want ffrom Admin CP.

Negatives are the mods, some people want the users to be able to choose which mods they want installed or not and that doesent work cause you got one set of files and can't give out FTP.

An alternate solution which also has ups and downs is to automatically create a cpanel account without disclosing its cpanel, basically, you need to make a reseller account with WHM, and setup the skeleton directory to contain a copy of phpBB. so when the user fills out a form it generates a subdomain, and gives them a preinstalled phpBB forum, with FTP access. You can change teh cpanel login directory from /cpanel or change port from 2082 so they don't accidently login. This gives you more features and functionality however its a complex system, and its gonna require a dedicated server with cpanel, and since each account ahs its own copy of phpBB its gonna take up a lot of disk space.
