HowFar script

I am looking for a script for a "HowFar" type of site. In otherwords someone types in a city for their location and then another for destination and it tells them how far it is.

Looking for a script that would work for Canada and US

Driving miles as well as air miles would be nice but not mandatory..

Free or paid Just make sure you have selling rights if you are trying to sell me one..

I am very technically challenged so the easier the better..
(I would probably pay you to install it as well.)

(Multi Forum post)
Thanks for any help...and Happy New Year to all

J

I'd say your best bet would be to plug in to the google maps API.

Hey Jim,

I just wrote a script for that, but its in php5 and integrated with parts of the zend framework.

It currently only does "as the bird flys" distance, the main reason I wrote it was for proximity searches.

I also have a database of all canadian postal codes geocoded through google which currently uses the script.

If interested feel free to send me a pm and we discuss further

Cheers,

Jason Brumwell
