I am not sure about the first problem, but regarding the second one rebuild the category cache and you should be up and running.
BTW: which PHPLD version are you using?

I know lots of you guys here use phpLD (PHP Link Directory) and I hope that you can answer a couple of my questions.
I am currently developing www.eRSS.com , it is going to be a 100% pure RSS feed directory. I've got the site up and running except it has no content or actual functionality yet, ( see http://www.eRSS.com ) .
The first thing I want is to modify the site so users can submit RSS feeds and RSS feeds only. I have browsed through the phpLD control panel, but I can't find any options where I can enable RSS feed submissions and/or restrict submissions to RSS feeds only.
The second problem I have, is that when I add categories and click them from the main site, the template/theme isn't applied so it looks really ugly when you click a category.
Example: (Test category added)
http://www.eRSS.com
.. and when you click the category 'Test' , you see:
http://www.erss.com/Test/
I would appreciate it if someone could help me out here, as I'm starting to get frustrated. Thanks!
Regards,
Stian

Hi
there's a dedicated product for rss feeds which is called phpld news :
http://www.phpldnews.com/
Maybe that's more what you're looking for ?
Looking for good FRENCH names !
Thanks for the tip Tomsa, but I am building an RSS feed directory. phpLDnews is good for making dynamic and auto-updating websites.
Here is an example of a website running phpLD , with RSS feeds only:
http://www.rsscuisine.com/
This is exactly what I want www.eRSS.com to be. Except I will try to carefully select all feeds, trying to keep high quality all over.
Hi NeoGen!
I just added my categories, rebuilt the category cache, but it's still not right. The template isn't added to the category trees, so when I click a category then everything looks ugly with no CSS, fonts or graphics.
See for yourself: http://www.eRSS.com , click any category.
Do you have more ideas?![]()

Well.. this is not the template problem..
The probable reasons could be:
1) .htaccess
2) trailing slash - Check what have you put under Settings>Site>URL: (it should be www.erss.com/ not www.erss.com )
3) category cache
I would suggest you to look at point 2 and then rebuild the category cache
Just tried pt. 2) now but it didn't help I'm afraid. :(
I don't think the URL is wrong, because when I click a Category, e.g. "Recreation" I'm redirected to http://www.erss.com/Recreation/ , which should be correct, right?
One thing, when I added categories I didn't assign any URL to the categories. I just left that one blank, but that shouldn't matter should it?
Just switch off the SEO mode and restart .. also can you post your .htaccess file here
Where are you Hosting your directory..
Aah, finally! Disabling SEO url rewrites solved the problem. Thanks a _lot_ NeoGen. I'm sending a little gift your way, thanks!
