PHPizabi as a dating / rating system ?

Just wondering if anyone here has had experience using the PHPizabi system - it's been in development for just a few months, but it's got quite the feature set.

A few concerns:

It's free, but not GPL.

The script contains encoded portions that the publisher claims to have certified by an ISV to not contain any phone-home code, or spyware, etc.

Very little established base of sites using it.

All thoughts appreciated.

Anyone ? At their site, they are now stating that the next release will be entirely open-source - with no encoded portions.

Once i used it as a trial with one of my site, and i found it bit resource hungry. not used much .
