CarDealerbyState - reviews needed

Hello

Looking for feedback for my website

CarDealerbyState.com

Car Dealership directory for each State. Car Dealers are listed by City.

This site includes every US State. Each state also has it's own domain name.

Any feedback or Marketing tips?

thanks

I like the site but you need to set it up so you can have paid directory listings on it too because Adsense in my opinion doesn't pay enough for it to be your sole source of income.
I do have one question

I'm curious as to why each state has its own domain? this would seem a little expensive to me.

Thanks for the feedback

Starting to experiment with some Affiliate ads, like on this page http://www.alabamacardealers.net/dea...e_Alabama.html. I am starting to test out ad placements to see if they will convert...

I wanted the states to have their own domain for SEO purposes mostly. The fact the keywords are in each domain is great for this. I am already getting some good rankings with these domains from the start.

I agree with bd77, you should have paid listings.
At least have it so they can upgrade their free listing to a paid one where their ad/link will appear at the top...

You could create a mailout to each of the dealers, tell them about the website and offer upgraded listings. Basic (free) listings would just be a text listing with their address. Upgrades could include a link to their website or email address in their listings.

I created a similiar website for someone, but it was for Florida Realtors. It started with ALL realtors being listed for free and the owner of the site is working on contacting and upgrading all of them. http://www.FloridaRealtorList.com

Thanks for the feedback

I have updated the site which has been difficult with my programmer being AWOL for months.

So far I have had good results with adsense.

Any more feedback or tips?

thanks
