Country: | just pushed a new site live - educational just put this site live last night after a couple weeks of diligent work. This is the first coordinated, contiguous, and full-fledged development effort I've put forward. other sites I've built have been more of a piecemeal, drive-by development process. I managed to sharpen my skills a bit on this one though (i hope) http://www.universitydistancelearning.com feedback welcome and appreciated. criticisms kindly appreciated. (don't hold back! )

Country: | Hi HomerJ. After a very quick look in two (2) browsers: IE 7: a broken link to a graphic that looks like the file extension is missing: http://www.universitydistancelearnin...es/468x60-temp. This missing image placeholder doesn't show up in Firefox 2. (IE is more sensitive to this). It would be nice to see what content you are adding for the various schools you have listed. Also, it might be nice to display articles from feeds from that industry that could come from headlines by industry. Feeds are many times displayed in blocks. If you need an example, take a look at this site I'm currently working on: http://www.healthcarestatistics.org This software allows feed items to be converted to blog topics. When comments are allowed, this adds an interaction component that will keep folks on your website longer than reading alone provides. You should seriously consider adding a few other visitor interaction components. I added a 'Website Lounge' in another website I'm also currently working on at: http://www.websitetrafficrepair.com I'm only providing these URLs to give you a better idea of what you can do with your site and see interactive components in action as there are many options available for your industry, too. Country: | Hey Homer J, did you mean to say making a world of distance instead of "difference"?..if you did I think it would be better to say something that makes the world sound smaller due to online college...get what your trying to say but it will confuse some people. |

Country: | Atomant, thanks so much for the feedback. I never bothered to check the site in IE that image there I broke on purpose as I was just using it during local development as a placeholder for a spot where I may be putting a banner. I didint think the browsers would show it with the broken codethe content for the schools is coming. it was sort of a chicken/egg thing. the two school affiliate programs I applied for wouldnt accept without seeing my live site first. problem is i had no way to find out 'which schools' were a part of their programs until they let me in. so i didnt want to build out content for schools they are not promoting. just put those up temporarily. I like the idea of the feed posting to topics. i'll have to look into that some more Quote:
Does anyone else find it confusing or to have a negative connotation?
