Its your site. But don't be taken in by the flash Times Square appeal.

Flash not only detracts from the message, but the product has absolutely nothing to do with Italian gourmet.

I personally would not have a banner that would take away from such a beautiful header graphic.

And thanks for the tip on the adsense thing.

I was under the impression 3 total.

And by the way, the link ads pay very well for AdSense.

I can dig it! I get right to the content when I land on your page.

It is just a shame to have to look for the guts of your site.

Are you able to add adsense in the content? Or does this template restrict what goes where?

I think you are doing this as I look at your siggy - gonna have your own little network of sites each linking to each other.

That is one thing I strongly believe in.

    CREATE your own network!

    Bravo!

The ads can go anywhere for the most part, I cant link the articles to AdSense, but I can link the articles to Affiliates

    Example:
Challenges of finding a good Italian Coffee or Italian Espresso

    Gourmet Monthly Clubs?

    I love Vons

Endless Search For Good Gourmet Wines

These articles are linked to affiliates that open in a lightbox, keeping them on the site, while hiding the affiliate code.

In time the content feeds will be replaced with original content linking to affiliates little by little. I like a gradual build up of the site.

And you have the right Idea about the networking of the sites, I am going to do the same thing as I did with my party rental directory.

I have a network of party rental and inflatable rental sites that get feeds from www.PartyJumpers.info, it explains more in the FAQ area of this site.

But for the gourmet niche, earlier today I decided to make a central gourmet forum, the foundation for a future gourmet social network. I registered GourmetRecipeForum.com I am going to make about 50 of these niche gourmet sites that all one way link back to the main gourmet social network.

I just started registering these gourmet names about a month ago +/- little by little as I think of them. I think I have picked up some good one,

example QuickGourmet.com just sold this month in December for $3,000+, prior to this name selling I registered GourmetQuick.com 2008-11-02.

Which I think is a much better name, here is one reason.
QuickGourmet.com about 421,000 for Quick Gourmet. (0.19 seconds) in Google
GourmetQuick.com about 22,000,000 for Gourmet Quick. (0.15 seconds) in Google

The funniest part about this domain QuickGourmet.com selling is that it is a local Carlsbad, California company that made the purchase that is down the road from me.

Anyways back on track, sorry! Yes I am creating a network of sites that will be one way linking to a main site.

Gota get ready for the chargers, chat to you guys later! Again thanks for the feedback!

    Humm...
This depend on how you look at it.

QuickGourmet.com about 421,000 for Quick Gourmet.
This is better when your intention is development and better search engine placement due to less competition.

GourmetQuick.com about 22,000,000 for Gourmet Quick
This is better when your intention is resell the domain since you may have more potential buyers.

CHecking that our right now. Today is a day of Playoff Games for so many teams.

Networking with your own is a fabulous idea and linking back to yourself is superb practice. I have done this many times. You almost have the audience's attention within your own network the entire time.

Yeah!! Chargers pulled it out big time!!

So I pumped out a few more sites so far. I am using a single site to host and be the forum for all the network gourmet domains which is www.GourmetRecipeForum.com

Now here is the premise for the questions.

Go to www.ItalianDinnerRecipes.com => Click (Italian Dinner Recipe Social Forum)

This opens up the home page of www.GourmetRecipeForum.com in a light box.

    Question?
Should I have the forum open up to the home page www.GourmetRecipeForum.com
    or
Should I have it open to the homepage of the forum http://gourmetrecipeforum.com/?page_id=4

Now understand this is only temporary, eventually I will niche each site to open the specif forum thread niche at http://gourmetrecipeforum.com/?page_id=4, Example: BrazilianGourmet.com will open up to the "South American Recipes" forum thread. But this is not a viable solution until I have users and or recipes in each thread.

So in till then, what would best practice be, direct to the site homepage or the forum homepage?
