i would make it a little more apparent what you are offering. i sort of had an idea it was for gigs, but still had to do a little deciphering. wasn't sure at first if it was like a Hosting place (net gigabytes) or an actual job search. id put a few more keywords in there or alter your tagline.

just my opinion! color scheme works well.

i agree...at first..didnt know what site was about...had an idea...but doesnt hit u when u first come across site....i do like the layout....

agreed. change "it's where the work gets done" to sth like "get your band noticed and booked TODAY!"

other than that, although the site is quite busy, I don't think it's distracting and you've got everything themed together pretty nicely.

You might want to look into using htaccess to have URLs like /post instead of URLs like index.php?action=post - better for SEO and for users.
I can help with that if you want for a very small fee.

That bottom adsense leaderboard isn't going to get clicked. As both the homepage content boxes are pointing to the same link, I'd change the "Do you need some work done" (leftmost) box to another adsense box, themed in line with the white bg/ orange/black text style. Why not have a link unit above the search bar?

Look into getting gig feeds to populate your data, or perhaps scrape other sites if you want to go down that route.

I think the site has a lot of potential. You need userbase, and a reason for them to stay, that's the most important thing for you to develop at the moment - don't add any more feature, concentrate on getting what's there working and used by people.
