Newby here, please give advice on my website

Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to this whole domain/developing spiel, so I'm hoping you guys can review my site and give me some pointers on how to improve it. I do not have adsense or any pay-per-click, so I just want some honest opinions on the site.
My site is: abpoker.com

I would like to know if I should try to compress it a little more for faster load times. It was basically a wordpress theme that I used, so altering any big cosmetic qualities might be a little difficult, at least for me. Any advise or insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I really like the site. Great theme. I think the ads are very sleek and don't overcrowd the content. Are you getting any traffic?

Currently, not too much. Sites about 5 days old, and maybe 10-20 impressions per day. Really barely getting up off the ground, still working on a few things to add though. any insight you guys have would be great.

Add a forum, sponsor tables at the poker sites, and leak passwords for your games in the forum

Basically like Cardchat.com then. It's a good idea, but I would have to look into the forum thing a bit, very new at this, so no idea where to start. But I would think i would need a lot more traffic before that would even be possible? Well, I guess everyone has to start somewhere.

Sponsoring free rolls in the poker site is how you are going to generate targeted traffic to your site, because the only way to get access to the freeroll that you host is via a password that you provide your forum members only, thus people see your poker table at the poker site, that directs them to your website, they register to your forum, and continue to be active in your forum as long as you give out weekly passwords to sponsored free rolls, they can be a minimum $25.

Thats the jist of it, I understand you are new and dont know what you are doing, it is very simple though. You could pay someone like me for the consulting to help you do this, but you could as well do it yourself for free.

i own 10+ poker related sites

you are trying to make it in a crowded space with a lot of people with a tremendous amount of experience in a dying market

imo you would be better served trying to start a site in more friendly waters.

that said, i would not make this a spam farm like you currently are. it doesn't generate any lotalty or trust. you need to pick one thing and do it very well and get traffic because of that.

trying to be just another general poker related site with some news posts is not going to make you stand out at all.

i agree you should add a forum asap
