Pretty nifty tool, I haven't seen anything like this yet online-- just downloadable programs. Isn't this a bandwidth/resource hog though? I mean it downloads the video to your server, converts it and then lets me download it to my computer.

One suggestion though is getting a shorter URL, such as convyt.com and adding a small watermark to the bottom right of the video converted for ~5 seconds. This could potentially bring you more traffic. Also, a tasteful 798x15 text ad from Google Adsense wouldn't look too bad either.

I manually delete the space each day so particularly its only a bandwith eater.
Thanks for the shorter url suggestion but I prefer the current keyword as its easier to SEO

The watermark isn't such a bad idea but was thinking of seeing what the users think of that first. The first current aim is to let users to use this application and get as many users as we like. Thats why the first month there will be no adsense generated.

p/s- Just realized that I misspelled youtube for youtobe. Lol.. that was why it looks funny.
p/s2- What do you think about the Banner Section. I personally customized that page myself and got several designers to do the banners. They deed quite a good job IMHO.

Possibly an addition to the watermark idea would allow users who join the site (for free of course) to login and then turn the watermark off before downloading the video. Doing it that way, you could have a returning user and for the ones who don't return, videos floating around somewhere with your URL on it. For the shorter URL, you can just give it a 301 redirect and ConvertYoutube.net would only appear on searches.

I like the first banner, but the second one looks a little bland. Possibly adding a black or white border around it would make it more eye catching.

Thanks amplify. Thats what I had in mind but not thinking to implement just yet. For the banners I had a total of 5 banners made for my user's choice. Cheers

nice tool , i have used keep vid and many others but they are slow or not working properly , ill check it out

i just tried with couple of videos, tried to convert to mp3 but error

Can you test now. I think its because to many people used the space yesterday.
I only have 15GB of space so I need to delete the files each day.
