Some of you may have seen http://www.ownthemap.com already but for those who haven't, it's an evolution of the MDH idea by Tew but where I'm selling pieces of the world three countries at a time.

It's been quite successful so far. I have a large newsletter database, have attracted local press interest, acquired a nice group of followers (and competitive bidders, week in-week out!) and recently added quite a few improvements.

I've added the flash map and, within that, the 'OwnerShip' which is a little boat that country owners can win the rights to. As the only moving object on the map its very desirable and a way of giving country owners extra for their investment.

I've also added a referral scheme. I'm giving anyone the chance to win $50 every month just for referring people to OwnTheMap.com. So far quite a few people have signed up but no big sites are dominating it yet. There's still a big opportunity to grab $50 so I'm hoping more people will join. What I'm after is ideas for improvements. What next? What do you think of the site?
