I like the design, but that white stain is kind of repulsive, just my opinion though.

The splash page, doesn't serve any use at all. It just makes users wait to get to the real content filled part of the site. It also isn't optimized for the search engines, if you are going to keep your splash page, at least write a small block of text at the bottom of the page for the search engines.

I agree with Lampwize. The splash page serves no purpose at all. Also, what is the point of the gray bar at the top of the forums?

Don't like the splash page, can't figure out what it is and it doesn't even match the color scheme of the forum.
The forum skin looks pretty good though.

Oh, I use FireFox and I have blocked all Google Ads. That's why. Forget it. Although I must say that it is very annoying to have google ads front and foremost on your page. But then again, who likes big ads anyways?

You could use the design from your splash page as a logo but apart from that, I'd lose it.
