And relevancy, and rank, and if it is an image link with an alt or Title tag, or text link with key words and so many things to consider.
But yes Incoming links is one them :-D

lol well put my friend. There is no way in the WORLD OF SEO that anyone can just say one thing. If you do, I will say "Is that a Fact." There are countless factors and thats why I listed 101 of them.

yes, I agree, but these are all factors to consider relating to links... obviously I was being overly simplistic... but in reality, it all comes down to links. Just type "failure" into google... do you think they have any on page factors giving that ranking?

but its amazing to me if you get 3 SEO experts together,they all have a different take on SEO- ing(or in this case link building),and sometimes contrary statements.

and BTW I take alot of stock in what SEObook says

There's a domain I'm looking at that has 135 incoming links. No idea what traffic is. The name can't really be developed again, but it can be redirected maybe? What is this worth? Anything?
