Best way to organize site?

I am starting a webmaster site which will offer free templates, fonts, icons, logos, banners, photos, tutorials, scripts, tools, host search & directory etc, and I am wondering what is the best way to organize all this on the site for best seo optimization. Should I go with subdomains or folders for each section?

Is the amount of different type of content on the site too much for good seo?

I agree, folders, and name them using target keywords.

Re: Best way to organize site?

My understanding is that search engines looks at subdomains as individual sites.

If you have all or most of your pages set up as subdomains, the SE’s will look at this as individual sites and you yield a higher chance getting indexed better because it looks at 300 different internal/different sites.

I look at designing directory depth not important IMO because why do it when you can have subdomains and power over them.
