seo specialist!
To be honest there is no specialist in SEO

Only secret to get on top of keywords do what SE like

what SE like
-Good content (have 2 parts)
*updating content
*quality content (SE dont how much quality content have but quality matter a lot ,because great content many subscribe your content and give links

On page optimization
*Title
*keywords
*description
*no follow

Title ,keywords and description must be natural including keywords ,but do not stuff with keywords

also some say keywords density in content give top ranks I dont belive that

link building
*Build links regularly in consistent way
*relevant links preferred
*In content links preferred
*links really dont worth if that have more than 120 out bound links
*Never buy sitewide links
* Try to get natural links (content is very strong tool here )
*Social media exposure
*Linking to high quality sites
*only buy links perminent

when you search for SEO
-most guys who offer cheap services are crap
-ask him his pervious
-ask him if he can give support (IM or email) with updates

You can build a search engine friendly site with just a basic knowledge of SEO, but if you want to take an existing site and compete for the top premium keywords, you have to have quite a bit of knowledge and experience.

It will surely depend on the site itself. Where it is right now in Index and which keywords are to be targeted. If multiple keywords then is the content ready for it or is the content generation also included in the project etc. The factors will be on the page itself while the off page factors will also have to be taken care of and that also depends on the site's theme and target audiences.

If you want to hire one still then I can do it. I will just need to see the URL first and I can research it and give you a quote and report on the site in PM.

After that if you are interested you can hire me

Thanks.

Remember if you pay a company or someone for SEO - Remember you are paying for time.- Specifically you are paying for the time someone will sit in front of your website and hopefully, as an added bonus, know what he or she is doing. Some big so called SEO specialist companies/ web developers/IT companies etc. have so many sites to work on and so few hours in the day to do it. You could be paying a monthly fee and the SEO guy (and a different one each time possibly) could be looking at your site for all of 10 mins total per week. You'll be billed for full service and be none the wiser. Good SEO people are hard to find -and they're in great demand because they have years of practice and experience behind them-They've seen the trends and know the way forward.
When I ran my site, I had a full time SEO guy because it's a full time job and no outsourced company could possibly do the work on a website than one good & dedicated inhouse seo person day in and day out.
But as has been said if the basic fundamentals of the site are good, it just takes time to gain PR. SEO technique is changing all the time and as someone said- theme density might just well be the next big thing.
One other point I agree with is the domain name must closely relate to the content of the site and there must be judicious use of that keyword thoughout.

It takes a good deal of study to sort through all the false advice that is repeated like dogma in the art and science of SEO.

I would recommend the highrankings.com forum they have a lot of pinned posts for newbies to read up on. A number SEO pros hang out there and can give you some guidance. Be warned though, they will not tolerate someone who isn't serious about self study, they run a strict board.

I think it's a good idea to learn at leat the basics as this will go a long way towards avoiding problems with SEs and you will be rewarded with more traffic.

Is there any way to beat the official site and the wikipedia entry if you are ranked third in Google? It is quite nerve breaking to see that my site is offering much more content and information than those two (more frequently updated as well), yet still not able to jump over them.
