I dont care about him joining through my link, When I suggested the course to him they did not even have an affiliate program, it is something they launched later. And there is a number of board members who can confirm that I recommended the course to them in private conversations before there even was an affiliate program.
The only reason I recommended it in the first place is because I am a very happy customer and I see no reason for someone not to get it practically for free if they will get all the most updated info they will ever need for do it yourself SEO.
Feel free to join it (the address is stomping2.com , do not use my link) , I will even send you the $1(+shipping if there is any I dont remember) you are going to spend and once you see the course come back and tell us if you think I am wrong to be so excited about it.
Well, my reference is towards available free resources, not about $1 or $1000 and I think I have already made it pretty clear.
To count million dollars one has to start from $1
So, you are trying to tell SEO course is like repair manual?
You buy, read, fix & it starts running? (even this requires time to fix and research if something goes wrong)
Its all about promotion and it requires research, strategy, analysis, implementation & revision and then continue/redo.
Its a never ending process (unless there is no competitor).
I bet no matter what great course one join, they still end up at a forum, reading free articles and other free sources.
You are entitled to your opinion. I am always happy to pay in order to get the information I need in one place, instead of having to spend endless hours trying to figure it out in the forums. And the worst part about the forums is that you never know what is useful advice and what is not. And no, I do not rather find out what works and what doesnt by testing. I rather know from the beginning what works and what doesnt and then I'll test it on my own business
You are talking about investing money and all that, but man, get real we are talking about a $1 investment. This course costs $1, was made by leading SEO specialists, there is feedback that this course is great(from me who bought it) and you still advice the OP not to buy it because his time will be better spent in the forums trying to find the information he needs.
I do not understand the way you think. I understand that you are sticking to your principles, that you think that one should not invest before he knows something about the subject, but you are telling someone not to buy a proven high quality course for $1 because he is better off finding the info himself by browsing through the forums. I know I'm repeating myself but I just can't believe your attitude.

Exactly, one can only give their opinion & cannot rub it on others.

I have nothing against you. This is clearly a discussion on whether the OP should invest $1 to buy a course or not. I agree with you that he should not spend a lot of money from the beginning
I am not a native english speaker and it might not sound the way I wanted it to sound. To rephrase "but I just can't believe your attitude " = I can't believe you have this stance on this matter. I apologize if I sounded like I'm attacking you, I was not.
I assure you I have nothing against you, but I strongly disagree with you. Not on the whole "do not invest until you learn" thing (on which I agree), but on the advice not to invest $1 for the Stompernet course. And the only reason that I disagree is that this $1 will go a long way to save him time from digging for info elsewhere. That's all
there are fee resources for almost anything
but still many people are not able to find them
including information about domaining
(and this forum is the proof)
$1 and free is almost the same, while $1000 is something completely different
i am not selling here anything and i am not associated with this company in any way (what means i am no affiliate or anything)
i just think it is a good advise to spend one dollar and save hours of time
and then maybe search additional information
i cannot see any rational reason not to spend this dollar this way
