Simple SEO question

I apologize that this question is probably obvious to everyone but me. SEO is not something I know much about yet.

If you were allowed to put a link on multiple parked pages with plenty of traffic, could that increase the Search Engine rating of a developed site?

Re: Simple SEO question

the more links you ad to a site the better chance crawlers will pick up the links

Re: Simple SEO question

Is that links going to the site or from the site? I have heard that links going to the site increase pagerank value but that wouldn't be the case if they were coming from parked pages?

It depends on if the parked pages are indexed by SE or not.
Usually SE is very hard to index the parked pages so it might be the issue.

Re: Simple SEO question

It also depends on the pagerank of the parking page and the number of outgoing links. And of course the relevence of the linking site.

If the parked pages had a pr value = to or > the PR of the developed site, then yes this should prove benifical for later rankings.

If you don't get the PR boost for whatever the reasons, be sure your links, which will get traffic, are pointing to well constructed 'sales' landing pages.
May still get some revenue even if you don't get the PR.

Re: Simple SEO question

It COULD help. Most likely it would just help it get crawled faster or more frequently.
