I am sick and tired of bidders that win an auction, driving the price up and then they never pay. They essentially steal the domain from others.

I decided to list any NameJet usernames that correspond to unfinished sales, for auctions that I am aware of. Perhaps others can do the same. Here goes:

winner: tylerdurden
price: $1,445
date: 12/26/2008

Flag.net was posted in DNJ as sold – publication date - 1-20-09. Ownership changed on 1-15-09

Billboards.org was posted in DNJ as sold – publication date – 12-30-08. Ownership changed on 12-27-08.





Post date – 1-27-09

Both DNJournal and other blogs rush to announce such auctions as sales. Unfortunately, all of the ones listed above were not paid for.

doc, I have a list of the auctions that I participated, someone else won them and then they were repeated as that person didn't make payment. That's how I know, when I am included for a second round of auctions.

And guess what: keywest.net didn't get paid for the 2nd time now! It's back on auction for the 3rd time.

There are a number of payment defaults on Namejet.
But, Ron does not publish the sale unless ownership has changed.
Sometimes he might error but not like you are indicating above.

When the initial person defaults it goes to public auction.

I have seen a few domains go thru 2 public auctions.

Ron does not report the sale until the actual registry/registrar ownership has changed.

When a domain goes back into bidding, with the top bidder removed, that's when I report it here. Get your facts straight for once.

Every time a domain is not paid for, it returns to the active (private) auctions.

It goes to PUBLIC auction, that means the auctions opens for everyone not only those who backordered it. This and they keep old bids thats one of the biggest scam in the domain industry. Whenever this happens I am opening rude tickets there requiring to remove my bid immediately. They promise to remove the bid but still in scum way wait till the last moment for people willing to bump.

Thank you for clarifying that, Denny. That explains how the top 2, 3 or more bidders from the first auction eventually "leave" before its end. Regardless, it's a practice that should put in place some measures against shill bidding and fraud.

You twice accused Ron of incorrectly publishing a sale when you thought it hadn't changed ownership.

You were defaming his sales report.
When Ron publishes a sales transaction, it was checked for ownership transfer.

Whereas, when Mike Berkins, DomainNameNews and others post a weekly sales recap, I assume they didn't check for change in ownership.

I think now hiphop is legitimate, what was the intention of TENK - hard to say, might be previous owner angry. There was some auction where this trick brought Namejet 100K for domain not worth even 10K, do not remember the domain but it was obvious that someone really interested and someone was bumping him, first time bumped too much (101K or so) and won and did not paid, second time same person came under different nick (but was obvious is same) and bumped this time to 100K which the serious bidder won.

Huh ? Taryn is Frank but not hiphop and I think hiphop is legitimate. Frank does not bid that crazy anymore nowadays, he does not win everything. Or rather maybe, he bids same, but the final prices on Lamejet tend to be on much higher level than say on Snapnames
