    Enom club drop tricks again?

    Anyone seen this stuff?

Name was caught in club drop last year.
Name expires again, goes to redemption and then pending delete.
Name shows up in club drop with Jan 4th drop scheduled. I enter it.
Also plug name in other services, Snap, GoDaddy, Dot etc.
Name whois now shows enom picked it up and has a Jan 2nd creation date.
    Name now in private auction.

Question: How did enom circumvent the process to pull the name out of pending delete status 2 days before the scheduled drop date and plug in a new creation date?

You are surprised? With so many others using less than "sparkling" ethics at all levels of this business (yes Grassie, even domainers) and you are shocked when companies do the same?

Did you see these names in your Snapnames lists?

    pcwireless.com

I don't know why you think that way either.

Interesting list you have there. Again what is weird is the creation dates (3-3-05) don't make sense when compared with the expiration dates (12-2-05).

These registrars are out of control and now realizing they can get away with anything they want. The rules set by ICANNt and the Registries are being completely ignored. Anybody else getting tired of competing in a monopoly game where you feel you're the only dope playing by the rules? In-frickin-credible.

Re: Enom club drop tricks again?

Stuff Yep I see the earlier creation date going thru Andrew's whois-search.com and I usually just check via WMD (Name Intelligence) Guess I'm confused in see the record created date of 3-3-05 pop up now. What the heck is that, and when did they start doing record created dates that were different than the original registration dates? Saying that, I have seen Netsol change creation dates from original reg dates on several hundred of my names to the transfer in dates.

Re: Enom club drop tricks again?

I have always backordered at the registrar - (among others) GoDaddy will actually get the name b4 a drop- and it keeps the PR of the page and original created date so Google thinks the site is older - never changed - like you bught it from the original owner. Work the system to your advantage..

White collar crime, very neat, very clean, very likely to eventually draw attention.
